How are XLphotoart canvases produced?

All our work is unique to xlphotoart and has been produced in house. We do not sell on designs and own the copyright to all our designs. Our prints are only ever produced as limited edition runs, which allows you to own a very distinct and high quality piece of art that can not be found at your local Ikea or department store.

All XLphotoart creations are printed to 100% cotton, artist quality canvas. The canvas is stretched and secured at the back of solid wood frames which give a depth of 40mm to your finished piece

All XLphotoart canvases come as standard as gallery wrap (i.e. With 'Gallery Wrap' the image is continued on the sides of the frame).

What is a piece of Canvas Art?

All our photographic prints are available to buy printed onto canvas material which is professionally stretched and stapled to the back of a chunky 38mm deep handmade wooden box frame. The prints are 'Gallery Wrapped' which means the image is wrapped around the sides of the box rather than just printed onto the front. Canvas art prints make ideal stand-out pictures and do not need to be framed.
What is the difference between the 'Gallery Wrap' and 'No Wrap'
With 'Gallery Wrap' the image is continued on the sides of the frame; whereas, with 'No Wrap' the sides of the frame are white.
Will the colour I see online, match the colour of the canvas print exactly?
We aim to ensure that the colour of the pictures online is as accurate as possible. However, the colours you will see on the internet will depend on your PC and monitor colour settings.

Will my canvas be the same image I see online?

Images may vary depending on the size of canvas print ordered due to scale and proportion.

How lightfast are your prints?

Our art is printed using the very latest and most advanced ink technology from Epson which provides light fastness ratings of up to 108 years for colour and over 200 years for black and white. In practice however, the conditions under which our prints are displayed will vary and hence so will their light fastness.
As an extra precaution, we apply two coats of liquid laminate to our art to enhance UV protection and guard against scuffs and scrapes. This should result in at least 60 years of light fastness under normal light conditions.

What canvas do you use?

We us only the best Canvas. It is a textured 20.5 mil Bright White Canvas, with a consistent Poly Cotton Blend using an acid-free, neutral pH coating. Unlike 99.9% of inkjet canvas products available on the market today, this giclee canvas utilizes the "Chromata White™" optical brightener additive-free and Fluorescent Whitening agent-free breakthrough technology. It is water resistant, single-sided, matte and flexible to ensure no cracking around the edges.

How do I care for my XLphotoart canvas?

Canvas prints are for indoor use only. They must not be exposed to moisture. Avoid touching the surface of the prints with your hands as this may transfer oils which could affect the appearance of your prints.
You should not use damp or wet cloths to clean your prints. XLphotoart canvases are lightfast and therefore have added protection against fading. However, you will shorten the lifespan of your print if it is displayed in continuous, strong sunlight. Don't rub your art too hard or continuously in the same area. If your art does get wet, gently dab with tissue or dry cloth and leave to dry, avoid wiping.

Will my delivery arrive in good condition?

We go to great lengths to ensure all our art arrives to you in excellent condition. Every piece is wrapped in protective bubble wrap and then wrapped polystyrene before being placed inside a cardboard shell.
How long will delivery take?
Delivery to Irish and UK addresses should take a maximum of 7 working days.
Delivery to EU countries should take a maximum of 10 working days.
Delivery to the USA should take a maximum of 14 working days.

What is your returns policy?

Returns of Non-Faulty Goods.
If for whatever reason, you are not completely happy with your art, you may return it within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. Returned art must be sent by recorded delivery/courier, fully wrapped and in the same condition as you received it. We regret that we cannot refund the cost of returning the image to us. Non-Faulty Personalised Art cannot be returned.
Returns of Faulty Goods.
Where goods are faulty, full refunds or exchanges will be offered, but you must notify us of the damage within 24 hours of receipt of the goods. We can only accept returned goods that have been sent via recorded delivery so that you have proof of receipt. We will refund the cost of postage should your claim be accepted. Where the fault is minor in nature, we reserve the right to fix the fault and return the item to you.

Trade Arrangements

I am a retailer and would like to stock your products – can you supply me?
Yes. We supply to retailers throughout Ireland and around the world at attractive trade discount prices, which offer excellent margin and sales growth for your business. We are even happy to produce bespoke ranges for your shop.

Do you give bulk order discounts?

Discounts are available on bulk orders please email us for a quote. Discounts are also available for public organisations and charities. For further information email us at info@xlphotoart.com

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes, because of the uniqueness of XLPHotoart, we make the perfect partner to any interior design project in both domestic and commercial environments. We are happy to work to specific briefs alongside designers, architects and developers. Contact info@xlphotoart.com for more information

Do your prices cover VAT?

All prices shown on this site are inclusive of VAT @21%. Please note orders outside the EU may be subject to local taxes, import duties or customs charges. We are unable to accept responsibility for charges levied by other countries.

Can I supply my own images?

We do not currently offer this service.

How do I place an order?

Simply navigate to a photo category from the list on the left, click a photographic image you like for a larger view, select a size and then click 'Add To Basket'. From there you can either continue shopping or go to the checkout, where you can purchase your art by credit card or using your Paypal account.

Is it safe to order art prints from xlphotoart?

All payment processing is made via Paypal which is the world's largest and most secure online payment system and used by thousands of online businesses. Your credit card details will be processed on secure servers at Paypal so your details are safe and we promise not to give out any details to third party companies.

How do I know the order was completed?

Soon after finishing the order you will receive an order confirmation via your submitted email address.

Can I cancel my order?

We try to be as flexible as possible regarding cancellations and adhere to European rules governing distance selling. For our range of Canvas Prints, you can cancel your order at any time up to 7 days after receipt of the print. However, you must pay the cost of securely and safely returning the goods to us. Due to the customized nature of any Personalised Art , we cannot offer cancellation or refunds on these orders.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal which should be made payable to Xlphotoart.

Can I pay on completion or must I pay in advance?

We request full payment in advance; however this does not affect your statutory rights.

What are your terms and conditions?

Please read our terms and conditions carefully.
1. Printed output may vary in colours to the image as it appears on screen. Wherever possible, we will advise you on issues of print quality and image resolution, however we cannot accept liability for any loss of definition or colour.
2. All work must be paid for in advance.
3. We have taken all reasonable measures to ensure our prints will be lightfast. However, customers must understand that this cannot be guaranteed either by the manufacturers of the inks we use, or by us.
4. Exposure to excessive heat may cause the timber frame to warp. We are not liable for any warping that may occur as result.
5. Your personal data may be retained by us for use in our marketing but only in accordance with data privacy laws. We will not disclose your personal details to any third party.
6. Our cancellations policy accords to European laws governing distance selling. For our Limited Edition Range of Prints, you can cancel your order up to 7 days after receipt of the print. However, you must pay the cost of securely and safely returning the goods to us.
